Making of the album
Around 2002, Pete Murray made an independent album The Game which prompted Sony Music Australia to sign him. Around early 2003, Pete Murray and his band entered a studio by owning producer Paul McErcher and his band to make a Feeler album. In his site, Pete Murray outlines a nature and severity of record he was hoping to produce. "The records I love by people like Nick Drake, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, they are built to last. I wanted this to be an album like that, something you can pull out in 30 years and still hear the feeling in it, rather than something that’s dated by the musical fashions of the day."
Success
Feeler was freed in July 21, 2003 with a title track when the number 1 lone. Triple J radio started swimming a track sustaining a Nova FM and Triple M networks picking up a track.
